We believe we are close to reopening our church for in-person services. Parish Council will meet this week to review the progress made in our safety plan and to make a decision on a date.

One important critical success factor in our Covid-safety plan, when we do open, will be the Greeters' ministry. We will need more than the usual 2 or 3 on duty each week and their duties will be expanded to help people understand and comply with our safety protocols before, during and after the service. The more volunteers we have, the less often they will be on duty! With practice and as time goes by we expect that the number of Greeters needed will be fewer again.

On Saturday August 22nd at 10:00 a.m. those who feel called to this ministry (even just temporarily) are invited to attend an orientation session at the church for hopefully not more than 90 minutes. If you feel you could help in this way please do come along to learn more. As with all church services and meetings, distancing will be observed during this session, as well as hand sanitization, masks and contact tracing information. As always, if you are feeling remotely unwell please let someone know and stay home!

With every blessing to you and yours,
Alan
