Choir of Christ Church Cathedral

Choir of Christ Church Cathedral

We are honored to host the Choir of Christ Church Cathedral from Victoria on Wednesday, June 25. The concert will be held in the church at 7pm. Tickets are $20 each.

The Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Victoria, is pleased to share its plans for a concert tour of Vancouver Island this summer. From June 25 to 29, 2025, the Cathedral Choir, Youth Choir, and Young Choristers are excited to embark on a four-day tour of the Diocese of Islands and Inlets, taking them all the way to the northern-most Parish of Christ Church, Alert Bay with stops in Nanaimo and Courtney-Comox.
 
Concert venues will include St John the Divine, Courtney (June 25), the Gatehouse Theatre, Port McNeill (June 27), and Old City Arts Hub (St Andrew’s United), Nanaimo (June 29). On Sunday, June 29 in the morning, the choir is excited to participate in the dedication festival of St Paul’s Church, Nanaimo. The choir will sing a varied program of music including Antonio Vivaldi’s Magnificat and Bob Chilcott’s A Little Jazz Mass.

Pride Parade

 

The 2025 Victoria Pride parade will take place on Sunday, July 6. This year Synod staff will be walking in the parade and we encourage parishes to march with us. If you would like to join us, please fill out the registration form by CLICKING HERE.

In June, the Victoria Pride Society will send more information about where the meet up point is, a map of the parade route etc., to everyone who registers.

The deadline to register is July 1, 2025.

On Saturday, June 7, Bishop Anna will lead a service celebrating the decades of vibrant ministry at St. Dunstan’s and deconsecrate the space for its use for other purposes. The service will take place at St. Dunstan’s at 11am. Clergy are invited to vest and process. The color for the day is white.

Rides to Church

We have a list of eager drivers who are willing to pickup and drive parishioners to church. If you need a lift, just call or email the office  and we will arrange a ride for you.  
If you would like to volunteer to be a driver or you need a ride, please contact the office between 9am-noon, Tuesday - Friday.

Remember that the office is only open till noon on Friday, so if you call on a Saturday or Sunday, we will not be able to accommodate you for that Sunday's service.

For donations, please include your envelope number if you have one.  

If you do not have an envelope number, please include your name and full mailing address, if you would like to receive a receipt at the end of the year for your donation.

If your donation is to be designated, please include this information also.  If there is no designation, the donation will go into general income.
