The Sonshine Lunch Club has operated out of St. George's United Church's Fellowship Hall and Kitchen since 1999. The purpose of the group is to share the love of Christ with others by providing a free warm lunch to clients and encouragement five days a week in a welcoming atmosphere.  In addition to providing lunches, they also provide clothing, blankets, shoes, books and other items to their clients.

Each day is hosted by a different church group and St. John the Divine's day is Thursday. During the summmer of 2019, St. John the Divine opened it's doors to provide a lunch on Thursday's while St. George's renovated their kitchen.
