Al-Khair Relief Society will be having a Bake Sale in our church side yard on Saturday May 2 from 1-4pm. They are raising funds for schools in Gaza. Please support this wonderful cause.

Attn Gardeners. It's that time of year again. The Garden Appreciation Club is looking for donations for the annual plant sale which will be held on Saturday May 9. Plants, shrubs, seedlings, vegi starts and any garden related items such as tools, birdhouses, books, etc., etc. would be greatly welcome. Start gathering now but donations can not be accepted until Friday May 8 or Saturday May 9.

St. John the Divine Anglican Church is inviting the community to take part in a Spring Food Drive in support of its neighbourhood “Blessing Box,” a grassroots initiative that helps supplement food for those in need.
Donations of non-perishable food items are most welcomed and can be dropped off at the church office Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, at 579–5th Street, Courtenay.
The Blessing Box, located on 5th Street (in front of the church), is a community-driven effort that provides accessible food support to anyone who needs it. Contributions from the public help ensure the box remains stocked and available as a simple, dignified way of caring for neighbours.
“We’re grateful for the generosity of our community,” said Rev. Alastair Hunting. “Small acts of kindness, like donating a few food items can make a real difference in someone’s day.”

-FLOUR, CANNED MILK

For donations, please include your envelope number if you have one.  

If you do not have an envelope number, please include your name and full mailing address, if you would like to receive a receipt at the end of the year for your donation.

If your donation is to be designated, please include this information also.  If there is no designation, the donation will go into general income.
