Lord Jesus, open to us the scriptures; make our hearts burn within us while you speak. ~ See Luke 24.32

Processional Hymn:  #205 The Day of Resurrection

The day of resurrection!
Earth, tell it out abroad;
the passover of gladness,
the passover of God.
From death to life eternal,
from earth unto the sky,
our Christ hath brought us over,
with hymns of victory.

Our hearts be pure from evil,
that we may see aright
the Lord in rays eternal
of resurrection light;
and listening to his accents,
may hear, so calm and plain,
his own "All hail!" and, hearing,
may raise the victor strain.

Now let the heavens be joyful!
Let earth the song begin!
Let the round world keep triumph,
and all that is therein!
Let all things seen and unseen
their notes in gladness blend,
for Christ the Lord hath risen,
our joy that hath no end

Call to Worship
The maker of all things, the Lord God worship we;
Heaven white with angels’ wings,
earth and the white-waved sea.
May the Trinity protect me wherever I stay,
Father Son & Holy Spirit
May Jesus and the Father; May the Holy Spirit sanctify us!
May the mysterious God not hidden in darkness,
May the bright King save us!
The praise of Christ is illustrious speech; The worship of God’s Son is an art full of virtue. May everyone who has sung it or heard it Belong to God’s kingdom without rejection.
Christ, Christ, hear me! Christ, Christ of your meekness!
Christ, Christ love me! Sever me not from your sweetness! Amen

Gospel Hymn: #512  I want to Walk with Jesus

I want Jesus to walk with me.
I want Jesus to walk with me.
All along my pilgrim journey,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.

In my trials, Lord, walk with me.
In my trials, Lord, walk with me.
When my heart is almost breaking,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.

When I’m in trouble, Lord, walk with me.
When I’m in trouble, Lord, walk with me.
When my head is bowed in sorrow,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me.

Offertory Hymn:  #374  Alleluia, Sing to Jesus

Alleluia! Sing to Jesus!
His the scepter, his the throne;
Alleluia! His the triumph,
His the victory alone.
Hark! The songs of peaceful Zion
Thunder like a mighty flood.
Jesus, out of every nation,
Has redeemed us by his blood.

Alleluia! Not as orphans
Are we left in sorrow now;
Alleluia! He is near us;
Faith believes nor questions how.
Though the cloud from sight received him
When the forty days were o'er,
Shall our hearts forget his promise,
"I am with you evermore"?

Alleluia! Bread of Heaven,
thou on earth our food, our stay;
Alleluia! Here the sinful
flee to thee from day to day.
Intercessor, friend of sinners,
Earth's Redeemer, plead for me,
Where the songs of all the sinless
Sweep across the crystal sea.

Alleluia! King eternal,
thee the Lord of lords we own:
Alleluia! born of Mary,
Earth thy footstool, heaven thy throne:
Thou within the veil, have entered,
Robed in flesh, our great High Priest:
thou on earth both priest and victim
in the Eucharistic feast!

Alleluia! Sing to Jesus!
His the scepter, his the throne;
Alleluia! His the triumph,
His the victory alone.
Hark! The songs of peaceful Zion
Thunder like a mighty flood.
Jesus, out of every nation,
Has redeemed us by his blood.

Prayer over the Gifts: Creator of all, you wash away our sins in water, you give us new birth by the Spirit, and redeem us in the blood of Christ. As we celebrate the resurrection, renew your gift of life within us. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ the risen Lord. Amen

Communion Hymn: #56   I am the Bread, the Bread of Life

I am the Bread, the Bread of Life;
who comes to me will never hunger.
I am the Bread, the Bread of heaven;
who feeds on me will never die.
And as you eat, remember me,
my body broken on the tree:
my life was given to set you free,
and I'm alive for evermore.

I am the Vine, the living vine;
apart from me you can do nothing.
I am the vine, the real vine:
abide in me and I in you.
And as you drink, remember me,
my blood was shed upon the tree:
my life was given to set you free,
and I'm alive for evermore.

So eat this bread and drink this wine,
and as you do, receive this life of mine.
All that I am, I give to you,
that you may live for evermore.

Prayer after Communion:  Author of life divine, in the breaking of bread we know the risen Lord. Feed us always in these mysteries, that we may show your glory to all the world. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Doxology (Old 100th): Praise God from whom all blessings flow!
Praise him all creatures here below! Praise him above ye heavenly hosts! Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost! Amen

The Blessing

Closing Hymn   Called by Earth and Sky
Refrain:
Called by earth and sky, promise of hope held high.
This is our sacred living trust, treasure of life sanctified,
Called by earth and sky

Precious these waters, endless seas, deep ocean’s dream,
waters of healing, rivers of rain,
The wash of love again. (Refrain)

Precious this gift, the air we breathe, wind born and free.
Breath of the Spirit, blow through this place,
Our gathering and our grace. (Refrain)

Precious these mountains, ancient sands; vast fragile land.
Seeds of our wakening, rooted and strong,
Creation’s faithful song. (Refrain)

Precious the fire that lights our way, bright dawning day.
Fire of passion, sorrows undone,
Our faith and justice one. (Refrain)
