Processional Hymn: #258  We Plough The Fields and Scatter

We plow the fields and scatter
the good seed on the land,
but it is fed and watered
by God’s almighty hand.
He sends the snow in winter,
the warmth to swell the grain,
the breezes, and the sunshine,
and soft refreshing rain.

Refrain:
All good gifts around us
are sent from heav’n above.
Then thank you, Lord, O thank the Lord,
for all his love.

He only is the Maker
of all things near and far.
He paint the wayside flower,
he lights the evening star.
The winds and waves obey you,
by him the birds are fed;
much more to us, his children,
he gives our daily bread. [Refrain]

We thank thee then, O Father,
for all things bright and good,
the seed-time, and the harvest,
our life, our health, our food.
Accept the gifts we offer
for all thy love imparts,
and what thou most desirest,
our humble, thankful hearts. [Refrain]

Welcome & Acknowledgment of Land

Prayer (Stewardship)
Almighty God, we thank you for all the gifts You have given us: our lives, our loved ones, all that we have and all that we are. Most of all, we thank You for Jesus, your Son and our Redeemer, who came among us to show us the way to eternal life. Jesus was the perfect steward of your gifts, showing that complete trust in You is necessary, and that giving of self is a most important part of following Him. May the offerings of our time, our talents, and our material resources be made in the same spirit of sacrifice that Jesus taught us by His life and death for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen

Sharing Time

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the Fellowship of the holy Spirit, be with you all.

And also with you.

Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hidden.
Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit,  that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name; through Christ our Lord.  Amen

Kyrie Eleison
Lord, have mercy,
Christ, have mercy,
Lord, have mercy

The Collect: Creator of the fruitful earth, you made us stewards of all things. Grant us grateful hearts for all your goodness, and steadfast wills to use your bounty well, that the whole human family today and in generations to come, may with us give thanks for the riches of your creation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord. Amen

Gospel Hymn: #450  You Call Us Lord to Be

You call us, Lord, to be a people set apart,
to feel with thoughtful mind
and think with tender heart.
Thus chose, now, O Lord, we ask
for faith in your unfailing grace
to make us equal to the task.

You call us, Lord, to care for self and neighbor too,
to take the risk and dare to show what love can do.
Thus chose, now, O Lord, we ask
for faith in your unfailing grace
to make us equal to the task.

You call us, Lord, to be good stewards of the earth,
to tend it as a place of blessedness and worth.
Thus chosen, now, O lord, we ask
for faith in your unfailing grace
to make us equal to the task.

You call us, Lord, to serve: to die that we may live,
to know we best receive when joyfully we give.
Thus chosen, now, O Lord, we ask
for faith in your unfailing grace
to make us equal to the task.

Prayers of the People   p. 190  (Led by Nancy Booth)

Confession:  Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbours as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us, that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your name. Amen.

Almighty God have mercy upon us, pardon and deliver us from all our sins, confirm and strengthen us in all goodness, and keep us in eternal life; through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

Offertory Hymn: #259 For the Fruit of All Creation

For the fruit of all creation,
Thanks be to God.
For His gifts to ev'ry nation,
Thanks be to God.
For the plowing, sowing, reaping,
Silent growth while we are sleeping,
Future needs in earth's safe-keeping,
Thanks be to God.

In the just reward of labor,
God's will is done.
In the help we give our neighbor,
God's will is done.
In our world-wide task of caring
For the hungry and despairing,
In the harvests we are sharing,
God's will is done.

For the harvests of the Spirit,
Thanks be to God.
For the good we all inherit,
Thanks be to God.
For the wonders that astound us,
For the truths that still confound us,
Most of all, that love has found us,
Thanks be to God.

The Communion (all are welcome to receive communion in one kind)

Communion Hymn:  #649 Breathe on Me, Breath of God

Breathe on me, breath of God;
fill me with life anew,
that I may love what thou dost love
and do what thou wouldst do.

Breathe on me, breath of God,
until my heart is pure,
until my will is one with thine
to do and to endure.

Breathe on me, breath of God,
till I am wholly thine,
until this earthly part of me
glows with thy fire divine.

Breathe on me, breath of God,
so shall I never die,
but live with thee the perfect life
of thine eternity.

Doxology: Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Praise him all creatures here below! Praise him above ye heavenly hosts! Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost! Amen
